In 2017 Tom Franco and the Dreams, made up of 4 other artists, visited the ceramic-pipe factory of Mission Clay in Phoenix Arizona over the period of 1 year. They tackled carving and glazing 12 larger than life pipes that were shown at the Ceramic Research Institute/ ASU Museum.

To celebrate this Golden Jubilee for UCSC, Tom was invited to host an art show and curatorial art class in the Sesnon Art Gallery on campus. Students of all disciplines signed up to mural the walls of the gallery, which was a project Tom always wanted to be a part of as an art student back in 2002.
